There has been much buildup to see Kamal Haasan reprise his role as “Indian” in the follow-up. The most recent marketing piece, dubbed “Indian 2 Intro,” eloquently illustrates how the entire country has been anticipating the follow-up. In this teaser for “Indian 2,” Kamal Haasan, as the legendary character “Indian,” makes several noteworthy cameos.
In addition, the trailer has brief shots of Siddharth wearing a breast plate covered in dollar bills, along with prominent cameos by Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh.
Filming on “Indian 2” started in 2019, but sadly, it was put on hold in 2020 due to a crane accident that left three people dead and ten injured on the set. The sequel has been released, 27 years after the first film’s debut.
The trailer opens with an almost unrecognizable Kamal Haasan making a phone call from a far-off place while posing as a well dressed guy with a mustache and graying hair. “I will be there wherever there is injustice,” he declares passionately. The Indian has eternal life.” To heighten the suspense, the scenario continues with a helicopter getting ready to land on a ship.
