Superstar Rajinikanth is back in action with his next big film, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is slated to release on August 14, 2025. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—fans are now eagerly looking forward to the powerful sequel, Jailer 2.
Following the massive success of Jailer, the makers are preparing for an even grander experience with Jailer 2. While there is no official confirmation yet, strong social media buzz suggests that the Jailer 2 release date is being planned for April 2026, making it a perfect Summer 2026 blockbuster.
Directed by Nelson, who is said to have spent ample time perfecting the script and pre-production, the film has already begun shooting. Rajinikanth recently joined the sets, and several important scenes have been filmed.
Music sensation Anirudh Ravichander will once again compose the soundtrack, adding to the hype. The project is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the same banner behind the original.
