Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor, who is known for acting in Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Mera Saathi and Hum To Chale Pardes, passed away today on 9th February. Rajiv Kapoor was 58.
Rajiv Kapoor’ sister in-law Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram to confirm the news of his demise by sharing a pic of the actor and wrote: RIP. The sources say that Rajiv Kapoor suffered a massive heart attack today morning at his Chembur house and he was immediately taken to Inlax Hospital in Chembur. Before the doctors could start treating Rajiv, he breathed his last.
Rajiv Kapoor was also the director of ‘Prem Granth’, in which Rishi Kapoor played the lead role. He has also produced Henna, Prem Granth and Aa Ab Laut Chalen.
Rajiv Kapoor’ elder brothers Randhir Kapoor and late Rishi Kapoor were also actors in Hindi film Industry. Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor were his uncles. Prithviraj Kapoor was his paternal grandfather whereas Trilok Kapoor was his paternal great-uncle.
Rajiv Kapoor made his debut in Ek Jaan Hain Hum which was released in 1983. He played the lead role in his father’s last directorial venture Ram Teri Ganga Maili which was released in 1985. His popular movies are Aasmaan, Lover Boy, Zabardast and Hum To Chale Pardes.
