Actor and director Rahul Ravindran, known for his National Award-winning films “Chi La Sow” and “Manmadhudu 2,” has embarked on his third directorial venture, titled “The Girlfriend.” The film marks a significant milestone as Rashmika Mandanna takes on the lead role, making it a female-led project.
Pooja Ceremony Marks the Official Launch
The film’s official launch took place today with a Pooja ceremony, attended by a notable ensemble of directors, including Baby filmmaker Sai Rajesh, Pavan Sadineni, Karuna Kumar, and Maruthi. Veteran producer Allu Aravind handed over the script to Rahul Ravidran, signifying the commencement of the filmmaking process.

Shravya Varma will serve as the costume designer.
