Producer Nagavanshi’s recent comments about the upcoming Sankranti releases have gone viral, leading to some misunderstandings. Addressing the situation, Nagavanshi clarified his statement about “there being no competition for Sankranti.” He expressed frustration over how his words were misrepresented by certain people.
Nagavanshi explained, “I was asked if there would be competition with six movies coming out for Sankranti, and I simply responded that this time not all the movies will be released. Even if they do, the competition won’t be intense.” However, some on social media twisted his words, claiming that he suggested films like Game Changer, released during Sankranti, would not be competition for his movie.

He emphasized, “Does this make any sense? This Sankranti, there won’t be six movies, only three. Such releases are normal in the industry. My comments were taken out of context to fit a different narrative. As a producer, why would I ever wish for another film to fail? Why is this so difficult to understand?”

The film is being produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with Thaman composing the music. Given the successful hat-trick collaboration of Boyapati Srinu and Balayya, the anticipation surrounding Akhanda 2 – Thandavam has doubled.
