Addressing the 197th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, BRS working president KT Rama Rao demanded immediate implementation of the BC Declaration promised by the Congress party during the Assembly elections. He urged the State government to allocate Rs. 20,000 crore towards the BC sub-plan and establish the Most Backward Classes (MBC) department.
Rama Rao criticized the Congress for making false promises to secure votes but failing to fulfill them after coming to power. Despite pledging Rs. 20,000 crore for the BC sub-plan, no budget allocation was made, prompting the BRS to advocate for implementation over the next five years.
In honor of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule’s bicentenary celebrations in 2027, Rama Rao advocated for the installation of a statue within the next three years. He supported BRS MLC K Kavitha’s demand for Phule’s statue on the Assembly premises.
Highlighting the BRS’s commitment to BC representation, Rama Rao noted that the party fielded BC candidates in six out of 12 parliamentary constituencies for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He emphasized the importance of providing opportunities and rights to BCs, echoing Mahatma Phule’s principles.
Former Speaker S Madhusudhanachari and former Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah praised former Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao for implementing initiatives to address social inequality in Telangana. They highlighted efforts to empower BC communities through education, employment, and socio-economic programs, inspired by Mahatma Phule’s legacy.

India’s tech prowess is making waves on the international stage! The country has skyrocketed to become the world’s fourth-largest exporter of digital services, according to the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) latest report.
Here’s the impressive stat: India’s digital service exports jumped a whopping 17% in 2023, reaching a staggering $257 billion. This growth rate far outpaces global giants like China and Germany, who only managed a 4% increase.
The global digital service sector is booming too, with exports reaching $4.25 trillion in 2023, a 9% year-on-year increase. This segment now accounts for a significant 13.8% of global trade in goods and services combined.
Interestingly, unlike traditional goods trade which dipped globally in 2023, digital services defied the trend and continued to thrive. This highlights the growing importance of the digital economy in today’s world.
The report points to a strong showing in key areas like business, professional, and technical services (41.2% share) and computer services (20.5% share). India’s tech talent pool and growing expertise in AI technologies are likely contributing factors.
The future looks even brighter! The WTO predicts the use of AI, including content creation tools, will revolutionize various sectors, further boosting digital service trade. This could create exciting opportunities for India’s skilled workforce and fuel further economic growth.
However, the report also cautions of potential risks like regional conflicts, geopolitical tensions, and economic uncertainties that could impact the overall trade forecast.

And for folks in surrounding districts like Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad, there’s even better news – predicted rainfall could offer some relief from the dry spell.

Tollywood power duo Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh are teaming up for a brand new project, but it’s not a movie! The actors are joining forces to invest in a multiplex in Hyderabad. This isn’t Mahesh Babu’s first foray into the cinema business – he already partnered with Asian Cinemas to launch the successful AMB Cinemas. Now, Venkatesh steps up to the plate!
Asian Cinemas seems to have a knack for roping in big stars for their multiplex ventures. They’ve collaborated with Allu Arjun for AAA Cinemas and Vijay Deverakonda for AVD Cinemas.
