HIT 3 Box Office numbers have proven Nani’s dominance in the Telugu film industry. The action thriller has smashed records by collecting ₹100 crore in just four days in Telugu states, highlighting Nani’s strong fan base and market hold.
However, the story is different when it comes to the Hindi version. Despite Nani’s efforts to promote the film in Mumbai, the Hindi release failed to gain traction. The total collection from the first four days stands at just ₹1 crore — a poor result considering the aggressive promotions.
Not just in Hindi, even the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions of HIT 3 have seen lukewarm responses. While Nani continues to shine regionally, the pan-India breakthrough still seems a step away.
Nonetheless, the roaring success in Telugu regions confirms that HIT 3 is a certified blockbuster in its home territory.
Retro Telugu Collections have turned out to be disappointing despite the star presence of Suriya. Released on May 1, 2025, alongside Nani’s HIT 3, Retro had high expectations. However, poor word of mouth and mixed reviews have severely impacted its performance.
In its first four days, the film could only collect a share of ₹3.7 crore in the Telugu states—a surprisingly low figure considering Suriya’s popularity. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj on a lavish budget, the film failed to connect with the audience due to its slow and underwhelming narration.
Pooja Hegde played the female lead, but even her presence couldn’t save the film. Retro also performed poorly in Tamil, further dimming its prospects of recovery.
After the massive success of DJ Tillu and Tillu Square, Siddu Jonnalagadda was hopeful that his new film would continue the winning streak. Unfortunately, his latest action-comedy Jack did not fare well at the box office. However, fans can now catch the film on digital as the Jack OTT release date is confirmed.
Netflix has officially announced that Jack will start streaming on its platform from May 8, exactly one month after its theatrical debut. The film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, giving it a wide reach across India.
Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, Jack stars Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Prakash Raj in key roles. The film was produced by BVSN Prasad, with music composed by Achu Rajamani, Sam CS, and Suresh Bobbili.

The much-hyped Suriya-starrer Retro hit the big screens on May 1, 2025, but its Retro box office performance has been far from impressive. Released alongside Nani’s HIT 3, the film received poor word of mouth in the Telugu states, resulting in low occupancy right from day one.
Negative reviews and lack of audience interest severely impacted Retro’s box office collections, especially in key Telugu-speaking regions. As a result, the film is facing a major downfall and might exit theaters sooner than expected.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Unfortunately, she too faces a setback with this project, marking another flop in her career. Despite the star power and stylish presentation, the film failed to connect with the audience emotionally or narratively.
Unless a miracle turn of events happens, Retro seems poised to become one of the forgettable outings in Suriya’s filmography.
Ajith’s powerful return to the big screen with the gangster action drama Good Bad Ugly has now set its sights on the digital space. The much-awaited Good Bad Ugly OTT release is officially happening on May 8 on Netflix. The film will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, offering a wider reach for fans across India.
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film was a huge hit at the box office, collecting over Rs. 240 crores worldwide. The movie stood out for its high-octane action sequences and strong fan service, even though the storyline received mixed reviews. Still, it delivered what Ajith fans were hoping for—pure entertainment.
While the movie underperformed in the Telugu market due to weak promotions, it still found success in other regions. Trisha Krishnan played the female lead, alongside Arjun Das, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Shine Tom Chacko, and more in key roles. The film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
For viewers who missed it in theatres, the Netflix release on May 8 is the perfect chance to catch up on this mass entertainer.
