Vijay Deverakonda is set to star in a new film directed by Shouryuv, the man behind the hit Hi Nanna. The pairing has already got fans excited.
Shouryuv made a strong impression with Hi Nanna, which was loved for its emotional story. After that, he developed a script for Jr NTR, but the project fell through. Several other attempts also did not work out. Now he has found his next lead in Deverakonda.
The director recently met Vijay and narrated a new story. Vijay liked it and gave his go-ahead. The film is described as a romantic family drama with a dark undertone — a genre that is relatively new territory for Vijay.
Shooting will not begin anytime soon, though. Vijay is currently occupied with projects including Ranabaali, so the new film is expected to go on floors only in 2027. In the meantime, Shouryuv has begun pre-production work, focusing on casting and other preparations.
