The Andhra Pradesh police have arrested popular actor and former YSRCP leader Posani Krishna Murali for his controversial remarks on film star and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan. The Posani Krishna Murali arrest took place in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, and he was transported to Andhra Pradesh by road.
During the YSRCP rule, Posani made several remarks targeting Pawan Kalyan’s personal life, sparking outrage. A case was filed against him at the Obulavaripalle Police Station under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, citing casteist remarks and attempts to create social unrest.
He will be presented before the Rajampeta Addl Magistrate on Thursday morning. Notably, Posani had announced his retirement from active politics last year, stating that he was no longer affiliated with any political party.
