Red Alert Issued for Telangana Due to Heavy Rainfall in Hyderabad:
The city experienced an intense onslaught of rain, which commenced early Tuesday morning and led to extensive flooding and waterlogging in various parts of the area.
Hyderabad documented the year’s most substantial rainfall, surpassing 105 mm across all six GHMC zones.
According to the IMD, Hyderabad and its surrounding regions, including Rangareddy, Sangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri, witnessed moderate to heavy rains classified under the red alert category.
Notably, Miyapur recorded the highest rainfall at 147.5 mm, closely followed by Hyder Nagar with 143.8 mm, and Sivaramapalle with 130.8 mm, according to data from the TS Development and Planning Society.
