Disappointing Retro Collections in Telugu – Suriya’s Film Declared a Flop

Date:

Retro collections have turned out to be a major letdown for fans of Suriya, as the much-hyped film failed to make a mark at the box office. Released in both Tamil and Telugu, the movie couldn’t live up to its pre-release buzz and struggled to impress audiences.

In the Telugu market, Retro ended with a closing share of just Rs 5.8 crore, marking it as a clear box-office flop. Critics pointed out that the film’s weak screenplay and uninspired direction by Karthik Subbaraj were key reasons behind its underwhelming performance.

This failure comes as a rare setback for Suriya, who is known for his strong track record with content-rich films. While fans now look forward to his upcoming projects, Retro is a reminder that star power alone isn’t enough without a gripping story and solid execution.
