While Ram Gopal Varma’s fans continue to wait for updates on Syndicate, the filmmaker has surprised everyone by announcing his next project, Police Company. Along with revealing the title, RGV unveiled three striking stills featuring Harshvardhan Rane, who will headline the film.
The project is being made in collaboration with Bollywood’s leading production house T-Series and carries the intriguing tagline, “It Is More Dangerous Than D Company.” According to Ram Gopal Varma, the film draws inspiration from the Mumbai Police’s special squad that took on the city’s underworld during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Police Company will reportedly revolve around Daya Nayak, one of the most prominent members of the squad, with Harshvardhan Rane stepping into the role. Given RGV’s past fascination with the Mumbai underworld and police stories, the project has already generated considerable curiosity.
The filmmaker is also planning a large ensemble cast for the film, with details about the remaining actors expected to be revealed in the coming days. More updates regarding the cast, shooting schedule, and release plans are awaited.
