RGV Applauds Jagan’s Actions in Roja Threat Row:

Renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) expressed admiration for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s decisive actions in the case of former TD minister Bandaru Satyanarayana, who was arrested for making indecent remarks about tourism minister R.K. Roja.

In an open letter shared on the X platform, Varma commended the government’s resolute stance on disgraced ex-minister Bandaru Satyanarayan for his inappropriate comments regarding tourism minister Roja Selvamani. He urged the government to apply the same stringent measures to any politician, regardless of their party affiliation, who issues violent threats.

Highlighting allegations of life threats and threats to the minister’s dignity made by Satyanarayana, Varma questioned the suitability of such influential figures as role models and stressed the importance of legal action to prevent such incidents from becoming commonplace.

The director appealed to the Chief Minister to implement a zero-tolerance policy toward individuals who issue such threats. On Monday, Satyanarayana was apprehended by the Guntur police at his Vennelapalem residence in Anakapalli district following an 18-hour standoff. His arrest was made in connection with disrespectful comments made against the Chief Minister and Minister Roja.
