Tamil Nadu is home to exquisite temples which have great historical and mythological importance. Similarly, the state is also famous for its unstable and wobbly politics. The death of former CM, Jayalalitha surely marked the beginning of a new-era politics in the Tamil state. With film superstars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan entering politics, Stalin-led DMK trying to come to power and ever-controversial Panneer Selvam-Palani Swamy led AIADMK, the political playground in Tamil Nadu is nothing short of Kurukshetra war.
Amidst this atmosphere, T Dinakaran, backed by Sasikala Natarajan, triumphed in RK Nagar by-election, and once again proved how unstable Tamil politics are. RK Nagar MLA T Dinakaran has been a hot topic in the political circles, given his past and present. T Dinakaran once again made headlines, after he rejected the MLA Salary hike in Tamil Nadu assembly.
The ruling AIADMK party proposed the MLA Salary hike in Tamil Nadu assembly, increasing the pay from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 1,05,000. ‘Our state is currently running in deficit. Moreover, it is getting difficult to allocate budget for various social welfare programs,’ said RK Nagar MLA T Dinakaran, criticizing the government’s decision to come up with MLA Salary hike.
Correspondingly, MLA T Dinakaran urged to give him salary without the new increase in pay.
