Creative director S. Shankar has introduced Chitti Robo to the movie audience in 2010. Shankar impressed the audience with the humanoid robot Chitti and shown many variations of Chitti like fun, adventure, love and the vengeance. The visual effects, Rehman music, Rajinikanth performance and Aishwarya Rai’s beautiful presence have thrown a tremendous impact on the audience.
But, Chitti was dismantled because the govt has considered Chitti robot is a threat to the humans. After eight years, Chitti is now reloaded again and saying Hello to the audience with the version 2.0. This sequel features Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in lead roles. Story:
The movie starts with a voice-over and an old man commits suicide. There are no reasons revealed about his suicide attempt. On the next day, cell phones are flying out to the sky and get disappeared from the hands of human beings in Chennai. An evil bird attacks the city and tries to harm human beings. All are worried about this situation and the government officials call the scientist Dr Vashikar for an official high profile meeting to find and stop the shadow behind these attacks. Vashikar reboots Chitti robot as a counter-attack to that evil bird. Who is that Bird Rajan? Why it is attacking the people? How Chitti controlled the situation? Who is Vennela Robo in this story? The answers for these will continue the remaining story.
Synopsis:
Director Shankar considers a social cause and delivers a social message with commercial touch in his every film. This time also, he has taken a social cause that how cell phone usage is destroying the creatures and birds in our environment. Shankar has shown what he wants to say to the audience on the silver screen. But, he has lost the grip to narrate the same with an interesting screenplay.
This movie story is like a old wine in a new bottle and the highest selling points of the movie are Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar performances. Superstar Rajinikanth impressed the audience with his fun and adventures in characters namely Vashikar, Chitti Robo and Mini Robo. Akshay Kumar character is crucial for the story and he has greatly done his character. The fight sequences between Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar are breathtaking and visually awesome.
Amy Jackson played the role as a female robot named Vennela and she has done her role at her best and served laughs in the theatre. Sri Ramakrishna dubbing dialogues in Telugu are very good. Visual effects and high volume of graphic works takes the audience to the new world to fly. Nirav Sha cinematography is classy without any flaws. Rehman music is average in songs but his background score is excellent. The production values by Lyca Productions are touched their standards.
