Rohit Sharma fined for speeding on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Date:

Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India, was pulled over for speeding. As he allegedly traveled to join his side for the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup match against Bangladesh on Thursday, he was handed three challans on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. According to the report, the 36-year-old Indian cricket skipper reached a high speed of 215 km/h while driving his Lamborghini down the freeway at a speed of above 200 km/h.

The worried traffic officials intervened and recommended that Rohit go with the team on the team bus while being accompanied by a police bodyguard! The player’s well-wishers said that driving at such a high pace is quite dangerous. Cricket player Rishab Pant is still recuperating from a tragic accident he had whilst racing in his Mercedes. Some others also made the statement that young people look up to cricket players, thus they ought to act more responsibly.
