Deva Katta who is known for his political films like ‘Prasthanam‘ and ‘Autonagar Surya’, is all set to work with Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej for a film which is titled Republic. Touted to be a political thriller drama, the film has the backdrop of Kolleru area of West Godavari district in the Andhra Pradesh State and the crime surrounding it. According to the latest report, Sai Dharam Tej will be seen playing the role of a collector in Dev Katta’ directorial venture Republic.
The makers are planning to shoot the major part of the movie in the Eluru region and Sai Dharam Tej has been living in the city for the past one month. Ramya Krishnan is playing the chief minister of the state whereas Jagapathi Babu is playing the key role in this film which is jointly produced by J Bhagavan and J Pullarao. Nivetha Pethuraj was the initial choice for the leading lady role in Republic but Aishwarya replaced her at the last minute.
The film unit of Republic announced the release date as 4th June. Sai Dharam Tej will be the first hero to arrive with his movie Republic in June. No other movie’ release date is locked in June month.
