Sai Rajesh’s Baby turned out to be a blockbuster, winning both critical acclaim and box office glory. Starring Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the film stirred conversations with its bold portrayal of flawed characters. Following its success, a Hindi remake was announced, but the project faced delays.
Initially, Babli Khan, son of the legendary Irrfan Khan, was signed as one of the leads. However, he exited the project after prep sessions, which pushed the schedule back and fueled speculation that the remake had been shelved.
Clearing the air in a recent interaction, director Sai Rajesh confirmed that the Hindi remake is very much on track. He revealed, “The shoot will be completed by December 2025, and we are planning to release it in the first half of 2026. Contrary to online chatter, the Telugu version was loved by audiences, which is why it performed so well at the box office. Although a small section of Twitter criticized it, the overall response was overwhelmingly positive. We’ve also made a few corrections in the Hindi version based on feedback from reviewers.”
With these updates, fans can rest assured that Baby’s Hindi version is set to arrive with improved storytelling and fresh energy.
