Salaar Gets an A Certificate, Director Upset About Cuts

Date:

The big news: Salaar, the upcoming action movie directed by Prashanth Neel, has been given an “A” certificate by the censor board, meaning only adults can watch it. This upset the director because he had to make some cuts to the film, but he didn’t want to take out certain scenes because they were important to the story.

Why the A rating? The censor board asked for cuts in many scenes, mainly because of violence. Prashanth felt some cuts were okay, but others would ruin the movie. He talked to the lead actor, Prabhas, who suggested going with the A rating to keep the story intact.

What to expect: Even with the cuts, Salaar promises to be a thrilling action movie with a great cast, including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan. It hits theaters on December 22nd, so get ready for a wild ride!
