Prabhas’ Salaar made a grand comeback to theaters, with massive expectations from fans. Despite a strong buzz and impressive advance bookings, the Salaar re-release collection failed to surpass records set by other blockbusters like Gabbar Singh.
On day 1, Salaar sold over 1.36 lakh tickets, grossing around 1.73 crore at the Indian box office. The highest contributions came from Telangana (82 lakh) and Andhra Pradesh (76 lakh), with Hyderabad leading the way at 62 lakh.
However, it couldn’t beat Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, which recorded a whopping 3.41 crore in pre-sales, making it difficult for Salaar to claim the top spot. While the show count for Salaar is higher, it needs strong day-long occupancy to catch up.
