The US Ticket window is considered as one of the major revenue generators for the Indian flicks. Especially in Tollywood, the movies are being made keeping NRI viewers in mind to woo them in order to get maximum profits. In such a case, this time, the Sankranthi season is filled with a mix of different genres and it is curious to see the final winner.NRIs even though made mass flicks like Rangasthalam as blockbusters mainly prefer decent and family dramas to watch. Regular Mass masala flicks are not their interest and such flicks failed to make it big at the US not even once. But this time, except for the NTR Biopic, all other flicks are templated, commercial entertainers.
Charan-Boyapati’s ultimate mass combo did strike a decent deal but it is lesser than that of Charan’s previous best Rangasthalam. Coming to the F2, both Varun and Venky don’t have good markets in the US and so does the director Anil Ravipudi. Despite his positive humour and entertainment, Anil still waits for his flick to strike gold at the US ticket window.Coming to the dubbed flicks, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Peta and Thala Ajith’s Viswasam too coming for this Sankranthi and these two are commercial entertainers as well. Going with the trend and business, NTR biopic leads the buzz for now but it can be the winner if the makers hit the bullseye with the biopic.
