Secunderabad Railway Stations Won National Tourism Award

The Secunderabad Railway station has won the National Tourism Award as the most tourism friendly stations among all. Amit Varadan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad and D. Vasudeva Reddy, Station Director, Secunderabad Railway Station got the honor from Union Minister of State for Tourism KJ Alphons at Vigyan Bhavan on Thursday.

National Tourism Award In SC Railway station

On Average 1.5 lakhs to 2 lakh, people travel across all states starting from Secunderabad railway stations and it deals with nearly 210 trains daily. Secunderabad is the sole station on Indian Railways to be granted with the green Platinum Rating by the Indian Green Building Council of CII. Highlights like 100% LED apparatuses, 1 MW sun-powered plant, CO2 sensor and air purifier in AC holding up lobbies, 5-star evaluated electrical machines, motorized clothing for material washing and waterless urinals are exceptional to the station. On the other hand, Gujarat Won the three national awards for Best Civic Management, Best Heritage city, Ahmadabad and Best Airport, Ahmadabad.
