The 2025 South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) kicked off spectacularly at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City. Glamour, lights, and star power marked the beginning of a celebration honoring the best of South Indian cinema.
The opening night highlighted Telugu films, bringing together actors, filmmakers, and fans for a night full of pride and excitement. The biggest winner of the evening was Kalki 2898 AD, the Prabhas-starrer magnum opus, which walked away with four major awards for its unique story and stunning visuals.
Kalki 2898 AD claimed the Best Film award, while Amitabh Bachchan won Best Supporting Actor, Annaben earned Best Supporting Actress, and Kamal Haasan was recognized as Best Villain for his intense performance.
The evening also celebrated other standout talents, with Allu Arjun winning Best Actor for Pushpa 2 and Sukumar taking home Best Director. Critics’ favorites were also honored: Teja Sajja won Best Actor (Critics) for HanuMan, and Prasanth Varma was named Best Director (Critics) for the same film.
SIIMA 2025 once again showcased the global appeal of South Indian cinema, celebrating stellar storytelling, breathtaking performances, and creative brilliance that continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
