Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi Set for September 5 Release; Faces Clash with Anushka’s Ghaati
Sivakarthikeyan’s much-awaited action drama Madharaasi, directed by AR Murugadoss, is all set to hit the big screens on September 5, 2025. The film features Rukmini Vasanth as the leading lady.
While expectations are high in Tamil Nadu, the film faces a tougher challenge in the Telugu states, where it will release alongside Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
Given Anushka’s strong fan base in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, trade experts suggest that Ghaati may dominate the opening collections in the region. However, Sivakarthikeyan’s steadily growing popularity, coupled with positive word of mouth, could help Madharaasi carve out its own success.
The clash between these two star-driven films is expected to generate huge buzz at the box office.
