Ish Sodhi and Blair Tickner, who are currently participating in New Zealand A in the second unauthorized Test versus India A, have been recalled leading of the fourth day’s game and continued to the illness-marred New Zealand team for the third ODI versus India.
Mitchell Santner, Southee both of whom are suffering from gastro and Kuggeleijn, sick with a viral bug, is still improving, setting their participation in the third and final ODI in uncertainty. Santner and Kuggeleijn didn’t even emphasize in the second ODI versus India in Auckland while Southee fought his trail through sickness to produce a match-winning spell, also plucking Virat Kohli’s wicket in the manner.
The sickness continues to the problems for New Zealand, the team already without their customary skipper Kane Williamson who fumbled the last two T20Is and the first two ODIs versus India due to shoulder sprain.
Sodhi and Tickner are all set to join the senior men’s team in Mount Maunganui for practice on Monday (February 10). Ben Lister, the left-arm fast bowler from Auckland Aces, will be entering the New Zealand A squad as a replacement.
