After the success of Raid 2, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn returned this year with another sequel, Son of Sardaar 2. Unlike its predecessor, the comedy-drama failed to create buzz, as the trailers received a lukewarm response. The film opened to mixed-to-poor reviews and eventually struggled at the box office.
The digital streaming rights of Son of Sardaar 2 have been acquired by Netflix, and the movie is expected to premiere on the platform on September 26, 2025. However, an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
Directed by acclaimed cinematographer Vijay Kumar Arora, the film stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead opposite Ajay Devgn. Produced jointly by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande under Devgn Films and Jio Studios, the ensemble cast also features Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, and Chunky Panday in pivotal roles.
Notably, Son of Sardaar 2 also marks the final on-screen appearance of Mukul Dev, adding an emotional touch to the film’s legacy.
