SSMB29: Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli’s Jungle Thriller Heads to Tanzania for Action-Packed Schedule
After wrapping up two major schedules in Hyderabad and Odisha, the globe-trotting jungle adventure thriller SSMB29 — starring Superstar Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli — is finally set to resume filming. Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates, as production has been on hold for over two months. Now, the wait is almost over.
According to the latest reports, the film’s much-anticipated Tanzania schedule will kick off in the second week of September. The upcoming leg of the shoot promises intense action and visual spectacle, featuring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key sequences.
Adding to the excitement, Mahesh will reportedly perform breathtaking stunt sequences without a body double, showcasing his dedication and physical prowess in what’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema.
Initially, the next major outdoor schedule was planned at Kenya’s Serengeti National Park, but ongoing political unrest in the region forced the makers to alter plans. The shoot has now been relocated to Tanzania and will later move to South Africa for additional portions.
Backed by veteran Tollywood producer KL Narayana, SSMB29 is being made on a staggering budget of ₹1,000 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced. With a globally appealing story, international locations, and a dream cast, expectations are sky-high.
The film is rumored to be inspired by African tribal legends and survival stories, with a narrative combining Rajamouli’s grand cinematic scale and Mahesh Babu’s screen presence.
Stay tuned for more exclusive updates as SSMB29 gears up to become a game-changer in Indian cinema.
