Statewide Bandh Today as TD Protests Naidu’s Arrest:
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has declared a statewide shutdown scheduled for Monday in response to the arrest of their party leader and former Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu.
In an announcement made on Sunday, K. Atchannaidu, the TDP state president, revealed that the party’s leadership had decided to organize a state-wide bandh as a form of protest against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s perceived acts of retaliation, which specifically target the Telugu Desam Party.
Atchannaidu has called upon the general public, various unions, associations, and all supporters of democracy to participate in the bandh, emphasizing that this collective action is essential to safeguarding democratic principles.
