Andhra Maoists made news by killing the Araku MLA K Sarveswara Rao and ex MLA Soma the other day brutally. Senior most political analysts have decoded the main reason for these shocking act.
Sarveswara Rao who shifted his loyalties from YSRCP to TDP got the seat of MLA in 2014 under the TDP ticket by his reservation of ST. He stated that his supporters pressured him to change the party. This made the Maoists have a look at this legislator and his acts. Post the elections, he has allegedly become corrupt by digging the bauxite mines and helping the TDP leaders in this act. Maoists then passed serious warnings and even death threats over this issue. They ordered the MLA to stop the mining and save the bauxite as it causes huge pollution for the local tribes. Despite Maoist’s warnings, Rao and Somu kept digging the bauxite mines which deeply disturbed the Maoists.
They even arranged a one-hour talk with the MLA earlier but the talks have failed. They planned perfectly and caught the MLA in a bus. They surrounded the APSRTC bus along with some local tribes as if they are approaching the leader to state their problems. Immediately the two TDP leaders were caught and encountered by the Maoists.
