Su From So, the latest Kannada blockbuster, is racing toward the ₹120 crore gross mark at the box office. Made on a minimal budget, the film’s extraordinary success has cemented its status as one of the biggest Kannada hits of 2025.
The film marks the directorial debut of J. P. Thuminad, who also played the lead role. Popular filmmaker-actor Raj B. Shetty not only played a crucial role but also produced the movie.
Now, exciting news has been confirmed — Jio Hotstar has officially acquired the digital streaming rights, while Colors Kannada has bagged the satellite rights. The Telugu version will be telecast on Star Maa. The total rights deal reportedly closed at ₹5.5 crore + GST across all languages, which is a solid figure for a film made on a modest budget.
Earlier, rumours suggested that Amazon Prime Video was in the race for the OTT rights, but it has now been officially clarified that Jio Hotstar secured the final deal. The streaming date is expected to be announced soon, as the film has already completed a 25-day theatrical run.
Alongside Thuminad and Shetty, the cast also features Shaneel Gautham and Sandhya Arakere in key roles. The film, a comedy-drama, has been produced by Lighter Buddha Films, with music composed by Sumedh K and background score by Sandeep Thulasidas.
