The Supreme Court on today issued a notice to the famous Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev. The book named “Godman To Tycoon” based on the biography of Baba Ramdev written by Priyanka Pathak Narain and published by Juggernaut Books. Responding on this book, Baba Ramdev had filed a plea in the High Court against the book saying that the book had the lies and defamatory content to harm his reputation and economic interests. Then, Delhi High Court had passed the detention order on Godman To Tycoon book to stop the publication and sale on 29th September.
To challenge on the verdict of High Court, the publisher Juggernaut Books approached Supreme Court. The bench of justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta said that they will issue a notice to Baba Ramdev and the further hearing would be in the first week of February next year. In this case, the Supreme Court also considered this as the subject to privacy matter and obligated on two topics like the disappearance of two people because no valid reasons found about Baba Ramdev involvement on those.
