Swiggy offers free skill-based learning to gig workers, their kids

A Skilling initiative has been announced by the online food delivery platform to their delivery boys and children of the workers in the company for free to get gain new skills.

Swiggy has shared up with Khan Academy which is a non-profitable firm to provide skill-based courses and certifications on the subjects through Skill Academy. and also partnered with Google, which will be providing read Along , a speech-based reading tool for the delivery partner children to gain knowledge on the reading skills.

“To create the best opportunities in the carrier of our executives and carrier growth, We started an initiative with Swiggy Skills,” said Girish Menon, Head of Human Resources at Swiggy. In the academy, they can learn courses like spoken English, time management, mental-physical health dressing, personal finance, computer skills, etc.

Children of our professionals and their siblings, nephews of delivery Boyes, and many students can also get connected through Swiggy Skills Academy to know to learn new skills. Around 24000 children were registered with Swiggy Skills Academy, after its launch within in short time.
