April 17,(Telugu Bullet) Popular Tamil actor Vivekh breathed his last at around 4.45 am today at a private hospital in Chennai. According to wish, his mortal remains have been brought to his home in Virugambakkam in the city. He was 59 years old. The actor suffered a massive heart attack on April 16 and was rushed to the hospital. He was given first-aid and was later put on ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) support.
Dr Raju Sivasami, who treated Vivekh at the hospital, said that his health began to deteriorate at around 2 am on April 17. He further added that Vivekh suffered a massive heart attack on April 16, and it took more than 45 minutes to resuscitate him. Sivasami said that Vivekh succumbed to his condition.
This comes a day after Vivekh took the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Omandarur Government Hospital. He took the vaccine along with his friends at a government hospital so that he could set an example for the public. After getting the jab, he met the media and urged everyone eligible to get vaccinated soon.
Vivekh is survived by his wife Arulselvi and daughters Tejaswini and Amritha Nandini. His son Prasanna Kumar died at the age of 13 due to brain fever. More details about his funeral will be out soon.
