TERROR IN TEXAS CHURCH, AT LEAST 26 DEAD
In yet another incident of mass shooting, in Texas, United States at least 26 people are dead. This time the terror strike the church. A gunman entered a Baptist church in Texas with a gun, killing dozens of people during the Sunday morning prayers.
The people who were worshipping God at the first Baptist church in Sutherland Springs is a small rural community which is about 50 km southeast of San Antonio.
The church leader told, that the 14-year-old daughter of the pastor Frank Pomeroy lost her life in the attack. Other victims included a six-year-old Rylan who is in surgery after he sustained 4 gunshots, while a two-year-old was also shot and wounded, reports the local newspapers.
The mass shooting claimed the lives of people who are in between the age groups 5 to 72, authorities confirmed.
Witnesses described the man as a gun to be in his 20’s wearing a black clothing and tactical vest.Neighbors shared they heard loud bangs, bullets spray into their homes as well. So far it is 26, and a long mourning period for all families who lost their dear ones.
It was when a local citizen pursued the gunman he exited from the church, prompting him to flee the church. Though there was a chase, by the local things are still unclear.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump, who is on Asia Visit, Tweeted on Sunday afternoon, “May God be with the people of Sutherland”, as he is keenly monitoring the situation from Japan. White House Press confirms that Trump has spoken with Gov. Abbott and is regularly receiving updates on the investigation.
