Thalapathy 66 is the working title of an upcoming Indian Tamil-Telugu languages drama film ,directed by Vamshi Paidipally who wrote the film with Hari and Ahishor Solomon. It is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, with Prakash Raj, R. Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Sangeetha Krish and Samyuktha Shan in supporting roles.Cinematography Kharthik Palani, edited by Edited by Praveen K. L., Music by S. Principal photography began in April 2022 in Chennai. The film is planned to release in theatres in January 2023 on the occasion of Pongal, and SS Thaman will compose music for the film as he recently spoke about it.
“The only thing that sprang to mind after hearing the story of this film was that the director created the story and every scene with Thalapathy Vijay in mind. Because the actor Vijay is physically matched to the story. There are six songs in the film and few songs already composed. We are thinking to add one more song if necessary”.
