The Family Man series failed to grab Chiranjeevi’s interest.
The original plan for “The Family Man” was to have Chiranjeevi as the lead actor. According to producer Ashwini Dutt in a recent interview, the creators, Raj & DK, were open to adapting the series into a Telugu film, with Chiranjeevi in the lead role. They even considered removing the child characters from the storyline.
However, Chiranjeevi turned down the opportunity, as he wasn’t interested in joining The Family Man series and ultimately rejected the script. Raj & DK had reportedly tailored the script with Chiranjeevi in mind for the main role. The actor’s hesitation was related to concerns about whether his fans would accept him in a role where he plays a father to two children.
Despite Raj & DK’s willingness to modify the script and remove the child characters, the collaboration with the megastar did not materialize.
