Arrival in Chennai of the Malaysian hockey team for the 2023 Asian Champions Trophy
The Malaysia men’s hockey team has arrived in Chennai to participate in the Asian Champions Trophy, which will take place from August 3 to 12 at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium. Malaysia, being one of Asia’s prominent hockey teams, has consistently displayed impressive skills and determination on the field. They have secured third place five times in the tournament’s history and are now determined to win their first Asian Champions Trophy title.
The team has shown great potential in recent tournaments, winning the Silver medal in the 2018 Asian Games and finishing as runners-up in last year’s Hero Asia Cup. During the upcoming championship, Malaysia will face tough competition from teams like Japan, Korea, Pakistan, and China, and hosts India, promising an extraordinary display of sporting brilliance.
Malaysia will kick off their campaign against Pakistan on August 3. In the round-robin stage, all six teams will play five matches each, and the top four teams will proceed to the semifinals.
