Telangana state CM Revanth Reddy has imposed a new condition on the Tollywood film industry. He announced that this condition applies to those seeking government permissions related to theaters and for increasing ticket rates at the time of a movie’s release. He addressed this during a recent event.
Reddy emphasized the importance of conducting programs to raise awareness about issues such as drug control and cyber crimes in the state, urging that it be taken as a social responsibility. He mandated that filmmakers seeking permissions for movies or ticket rate hikes must create and submit a social awareness video featuring their movie’s stars to the government.
Recently, Megastar Chiranjeevi produced a similar awareness video and presented it to the Telangana government. Revanth Reddy expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and encouraged the film industry to produce more social awareness videos.
