After a gap of nearly four years since KGF: Chapter 2, Rocking Star Yash is finally returning to the big screen with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the period action drama has generated considerable anticipation and is being mounted on a massive scale.
Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026, in multiple Indian languages as well as English. The nationwide advance bookings opened today, and the initial response has been highly encouraging.
According to the latest booking trends, the film is currently registering around 21.71K ticket sales per hour on BookMyShow. The strong pace has immediately caught the attention of trade circles and indicates the enormous interest surrounding Yash’s return to theatres.
With several days remaining before the film’s theatrical release, the booking momentum could increase further as the release date approaches. If the current trend continues, Toxic could be heading towards a massive opening across key markets.
The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Sudhev Nair, and others in important roles. Yash is also associated with the project as a producer alongside Venkata K. Narayana.
The music is composed by Ravi Basrur, along with contributions from other composers. The promotional material released so far has created strong curiosity around the film’s world, characters, and grand action sequences.
With advance bookings already off to a flying start, expectations are soaring ahead of August 26. The big question now is whether Toxic can convert this impressive pre-release momentum into a record-breaking opening at the box office.
