Toxic: Yash’s Film Opens to Packed Houses Across Regions

Date:

Rocking Star Yash’s highly anticipated pan-India film Toxic has opened to a strong response at the box office, with theatres witnessing impressive occupancies across multiple regions and languages.

The film had already created significant buzz before its release through its massive advance bookings. Toxic registered sensational pre-sales and emerged as one of the biggest pre-release performers among Kannada films, even surpassing the advances recorded by Kantara. The strong advance trend had led to expectations of a huge opening for the film.

Those expectations appear to be translating into theatre footfalls. Toxic opened to packed houses across several markets, with the Telugu states in particular recording a massive response for a dubbed Kannada film. Early morning shows also witnessed strong occupancies, indicating the considerable anticipation surrounding Yash’s comeback.

Yash’s performance is reportedly one of the major talking points among early viewers. His intense screen presence and gangster avatar have received attention from fans, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.

The makers have also highlighted the film’s strong performance on BookMyShow, claiming that its pre-sales have moved ahead of Dhurandhar 2. The ticket sales continue to remain strong, with Toxic reportedly clocking around 50,000 tickets per hour at its peak pace.

The actual opening-day numbers will depend on how the film performs after the initial shows and whether positive word of mouth sustains the momentum throughout the day. With strong advances, packed morning shows and a huge fan following for Yash, Toxic appears to be heading towards a big opening.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups features Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in key roles. The film has been released across multiple languages and is expected to target major box-office records in the days ahead.
