Trance of Kuberaa: Nagarjuna Praises the Unconventional Teaser Cut!
The teaser of Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula’s much-awaited film Kuberaa, titled Trance of Kuberaa, has captivated audiences with its intense visuals and a soul-stirring track by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). The teaser stands out not only for its content but also for the powerful emotional response it has evoked, including from one of its lead actors, King Nagarjuna.
In a candid conversation with Galatta Plus, Nagarjuna revealed his connection to the teaser and shared some heartfelt praise for the people behind it.
Nagarjuna’s Candid Praise for DSP & a Young Talent
“It was a brilliant teaser,” Nagarjuna stated. “There are two people I would like to congratulate. The first is DSP, whose music for Kuberaa gave me literal goosebumps. I’ve known him since his early days, and his work on my film Manmadhudu was his first big break. When I heard the song in this teaser, I felt what we call ‘Poonakaalu’ in Telugu—pure euphoria.”
A Surprise Talent Behind the Edit
Nagarjuna went on to reveal an unexpected name behind the teaser’s impressive cut. “I asked who edited the teaser, and I was told it was a boy named Sushrith from Annapurna College of Film & Media. I felt incredibly proud. I even told Amala about him. That moment validated my decision to help establish a film education institute. To cut such a powerful teaser—without dialogue and only using a song—is no small feat, even for a filmmaker like Sekhar Kammula.”
Kuberaa: An Unconventional Journey Begins
Kuberaa promises to be a thought-provoking cinematic journey with Dhanush and Nagarjuna in key roles. The teaser, rather than following a traditional narrative, uses DSP’s song to hint at the movie’s theme, making it both emotionally and artistically rich.
