The impact of the potent typhoon Khanun, which made landfall on the nation’s southern coast in the morning, resulted in the rescheduling of almost 450 flights throughout South Korea on Thursday.
As reported by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), Typhoon Khanum, which touched down at 9.20 a.m., is now expected to travel the entire length of the peninsula during the day while dumping a lot of rain and having high winds.
As of 8.30 a.m., 452 of the 2,138 flights scheduled for the day, confirmed by airport authorities, had been canceled, the Yonhap News Agency writes.
Out of the 1,048 flights that were planned to depart from Incheon International Airport in Incheon, 27 kilometers west of Seoul, 145 were canceled or delayed.
