After a 14-year hiatus, the Telangana government has officially revived its prestigious state film honors, now renamed as the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024, in memory of legendary revolutionary poet and balladeer Gaddar. The winners were announced today, ahead of the grand award ceremony scheduled for June 14, 2025, in Hyderabad. The awards aim to celebrate cinematic brilliance across Telugu cinema.

Veteran actress Jayasudha headed a 15-member jury that carefully reviewed 1,248 nominations across categories including feature films, children’s cinema, documentaries, and technical brilliance.
