Mega Hero Varun Tej debuted with a flop; Mukunda. Post that, his war-drama film ‘Kanche’ brought him critical acclaim and success. Once again, the actor shifted to commercial flicks like Loafer and Mister. Even these two films ended as failures at the box office.
Given his body language, and his attitude, the actor choose to star only in films that appeal him personally. His fifth film, ‘Fidaa’, a Sekhar Kammula directorial, got him his biggest box office success. The film turned out to be a blockbuster at Telugu box office, creating a strong market for the hero, especially in the US.Even his latest film ‘Toliprema’ has been declared as a hit, thanks to its clean, simple yet engaging love story. The actor has been lauded for his performance and dialogue delivery in the movie.
On a similar path, Varun Tej has reportedly signed another two films. He is currently busy preparing for a movie with space-backdrop, under the direction of ‘Ghazi’ fame Sankalp Reddy.Post this, his next project will be under the direction of Sagar Chandra, ‘Ayyare’ fame. It looks like, Varun Tej is playing his game, more cautiously than Sachin, who used to nudge singles for his century, when he steps into 90’s.
