Daggubati Venkatesh, born on December 13, 1960, hails from a family deeply rooted in the film industry. His parents are the esteemed film producer Ramanaidu Daggubati and Rajeshwari, and he was born in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. He has two siblings: a younger sister named Lakshmi and an elder brother named Suresh Babu Daggubati, who is actively involved in the film industry and manages Suresh Productions.

Venkatesh’s journey in acting began unexpectedly when he was cast in the movie “Kaluyuga Pandavulu” (1986) after completing his MBA. The film was a massive success, earning him the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut. He continued to impress both critics and audiences with his performances in movies like “Brahma Putrudu” (1988) and “Prema” (1989), winning his second Nandi Award for the latter. In 1990, he delivered another hit with “Bobbili Raja,” co-starring Divya Bharti, and won his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Throughout his career, Venkatesh has been part of several blockbuster romantic and family dramas, including “Prematha Rao” (2001), “Nuvvu Naaku Nachav” (2001), “Malliswari” (2004), “Sankranthi” (2005), and “Chintakayala” (2008). In 2010, he starred in the horror comedy “Nagavali,” a sequel to “Chandramukhhi” (2005). His 2015 movie, “Drushyam,” a remake of the Malayalam film “Drishyam” (2013), was a major hit.
