Malayalam star Mohanlal is all set to take his legacy forward with Drishyam 2. Helmed by Jeethu Joseph, the sequel of the 2013 hit stars Ansiba, Meena, Esther, and Saikumar among others. The first part of Drishyam was a huge success, not just in Malayalam but in other languages as well.
The film Drishyam 2 will release on February 19 on Amazon Prime Video. It is known news that Venkatesh Daggubati reprised the role of Mohanlal in the remake of Drishyam and the film was also a super hit in Telugu.
Mohanlal starrer Drishyam 2 is carrying huge expectations in Malayalam and there are speculations that Venkatesh will play the lead role in its remake. But the sources say that Venkatesh is not showing any interest in Drishyam 2 remake because of the digital release of the film. According to him, most of the movie lovers will watch the film on Amazon Prime and there will be no curiosity left among them.
The reports are coming that recently the producer Suresh Babu and Venkatesh discussed about Drishyam 2 remake and decided to stay away from the project. Meanwhile Venkatesh is currently working with Srikanth Addala for a revenge drama Naarappa, which is a remake of Tamil blockbuster movie Asuran.
