Delhi: Former finance minister Arun Jaitley admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday. He was diagnosed yesterday with heart and kidney problem.
He admitted to the AIIMS in Delhi this afternoon. Jaitley had a kidney transplant last year.
He travelled to the US in January this year for regular medical checkups.
The doctors informed that Shri Jaitley is responding to the treatment and his condition is stable.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Nirmala Sitharaman and Sharad Yadav visited the hospital to inquire about Jaitley’s health on Friday.
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu checked on him on Saturday morning.
The doctors informed the Vice President that Shri Jaitley is responding to the treatment and his condition is stable.
