Video calling on Instagram?

Instagram has been a revolutionary photo-sharing application in the 21st century. Until now, the users were only able to share only photos and videos on the app. No wonder, Instagram serves as a promotional platform for many upcoming and established celebrities. Besides this, there are people who are exclusively branded as ‘Instagram Celebs’. Such is the popularity of the site/app among the public.
Currently, Facebook Inc. owns Instagram. In a bid to improve and open up other possibilities of generating revenue, Facebook is apparently testing video calling feature.
WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp fan blog reported that Instagram is soon coming up with the Video calling feature in addition to its photo and video sharing feature. An unverified screenshot too surfaced online. According to the blog, internal testing of additional features is currently in full swing. Nevertheless, in the leaked screenshot, one can find the ‘video calling icon’ similar to that in WhatsApp.
According to the industry experts, the update that includes the video calling feature is likely to be available on Play Store (Android) and App Store (IOS).
Instagram declined to comment on the latest leaks.
