Vijay Deverakonda, originally named Deverakonda Vijay SaivVijay was born on may 9,1989. He was born to Devarakonda Gowardhan Rao and Devarakonda Madhavi in Hyderabad. He has a younger brother Anand, and both his parents hail from the Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. His passion for acting was ignited when he joined the theatre group called Sutradhar after his graduation. His debut play was “Sherlock Home,” and the positive feedback from the audience ignited his love for acting.

Deverakonda’s portrayal of the titular character in “Arjun Reddy” (2017), a critically acclaimed film, earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in 2018 – Telugu. The movie was a significant box office success, and his performance was listed among the 100 Greatest Performances of the Decade by Film Companion in 2019.

In addition to his acting career, Deverakonda ventured into film production in 2019 under the banner King of the Hill Entertainment. The production house has been involved in films like “Meeku Maathrame Chepta” (2019) and “Pushpaka Vimanam” (2021). He was recognized with the Youth Icon South (Male) Award at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) in 2022 for his contributions to the film industry.
