Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom’ Locks July 31st Release Date – Smart Move by the Makers?
Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated action drama ‘Kingdom’ has finally locked its release date. Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, the film will hit theaters on July 31st, putting an end to several speculations and postponements. With no major releases clashing that weekend, the team seems to have picked a favorable date to ensure a strong box office run.
A Well-Planned Window
Though Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ (HHVM) is slated to release on July 24th, there’s a comfortable 7-day gap between the two films. Earlier, producer Naga Vamsi stated he wouldn’t risk a direct clash with a big-ticket release like HHVM. Despite rumors of OTT partners urging for an earlier release, the team resisted pressure and opted for a safer window.
However, if HHVM turns into a box office storm, the screen allocation dynamics could pose a challenge for Kingdom. Even so, the gap allows both films some breathing room.
No Major Competition Until August 14
What works best for Kingdom is the absence of major releases for two full weeks after its launch. With War 2 and Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ arriving on August 14th, Kingdom has ample time to cash in at the box office. Moreover, since Vamsi is distributing War 2, there’s likely to be a balanced theater strategy that benefits both films.
Release Promo Out Now
The makers also dropped a slick new release date promo, featuring Anirudh Ravichander’s gripping background score, which sets the perfect tone for the film. Though there were whispers about delays in re-recording due to final edits, it looks like all issues have been sorted. The latest promo hints at an intense theatrical experience for fans.
With strong buzz, smart scheduling, and a star-studded team, Kingdom is strategically positioned to make a major splash at the box office.
